The lovable Minions found themselves at the top of the box office this weekend by a healthy margin.
1. Minions

Minions was never in doubt for a strong debut weekend, but it may have taken some by surprise still. The third film in the Despicable Me franchise scored the largest opening day ever for an animated 3D film with $46.2 million and went on to an opening weekend of $115.2 million, the second biggest ever for an animated feature. Globally it has already pulled in $395.7 million.
2. Jurassic World

Jurassic World is still going strong and had another impressive weekend with $18.1 million. This brings its domestic total to $590.6 million and a global haul of $1.46 billion.
3.Inside Out

Pixar is just a never ending winner it seems. Inside Out, it’s latest animated film, took third place with $17.1 million and a new domestic total of $283.6 million. Globally it stands at $435.4 million.
4. Terminator: Genisys

Terminator:Genisys dropped 49.3 percent in its second weekend to end with $13.7 million. This brings its domestic total to $68.7 million. Globally it stands at $224.81 million.
5. The Gallows
The Gallows came in a little under expectations to land in fifth place with $10 million.
Next week’s big releases are Ant-Man and Trainwreck.
