Kanye West promised that his new album, The Life of Pablo, would never be on Apple Music, but it looks like the rap superstar could be changing his tune. Multiple reports claim the record will be hitting major streaming music services this Friday.
According to Mashable, the album will launch on Google Play and Rhapsody. It might even be available on SoundCloud Go, which just launched earlier this week. A separate report from Re/code only mentions Apple Music and Spotify, citing one anonymous industry source.
The Life of Pablo was previously available exclusively on Tidal, a streaming service owned by Jay-Z with support from a full lineup of famous musicians including Kanye West. However, two songs from the album have already appeared on competing platforms, suggesting the full record may not be far behind.
