Let’s be honest: you only really subscribe to HBO to watch Game of Thrones, but the premium cable channel is home to a lot of other great content, too. If Games of Thrones wasn’t returning this weekend and powering through May, there’s still plenty to watch on HBO, including, um, Face/Off, Snakes on a Plane, and A Knight’s Tale.
Ok, never mind, you’ll only really want to watch Game of Thrones. I won’t pretend like that’s not why HBO is able to stave off the threat of Netflix. So long as the show is running—and it will for at least a few more years—HBO still remains the provider to beat. At least for now.
