We’re in the homestretch for Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, which arrives on May 6. Not only will that kick off the summer blockbuster season, but it’ll set in motion a lot of new storylines for Phase 3, which also includes a new movie for Thor, Black Panther and Doctor Strange.
Before that, however, we have some updates to get through. Rest assured we’ll have our own coverage for Civil War when the movie drops next week here in the U.S.

Inhumans off the schedule
You can’t win them all. Marvel Studios has been cagey about bringing the Inhumans to the big screen, and although its release has always been up in the air, it’s still kind of a surprise to hear the project has been dropped indefinitely.
With the Inhumans already playing a critical part in Agents of SHIELD, it seems unlikely a movie will ever get made. For now, the project has been shelved as Marvel focuses its attention on projects such as Spider-Man: Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War. [Collider]

Marvel in control of Spider-Man
Speaking of Spider-Man, it will be Marvel Studios that’s in charge of making the creative decisions for the upcoming reboot, according to Kevin Feige. That means Sony is mostly taking a back seat in this whole venture, allowing Marvel to do what it does best. “So far so good on that movie,” Feige said. [HeyUGuys]

Game of Thrones photos
Want a sneak peek of the upcoming episode of Game of Thrones? HBO has released several new images from episode 2, titled Home, giving us a look at Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright), the Three-Eyed Raven (Max von Snydow), and more. Check them out in the gallery above.
Deadpool mask
Much more work went into creating Deadpool’s mask than you think. They didn’t just stitch together some fabric and call it a day; plenty of engineering was involved in order to create a mask that was both expressive and comfortable. You can watch how they did it in the video above.

The Jungle Book
You’ve probably heard by now that The Jungle Book was filmed on a soundstage in Los Angeles, but you wouldn’t know it by watching the final product. Now, a new video has been released that provides a wonderful behind-the-scenes look at how it all came together.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
There were rumors Mantis would appear in the sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy, and a new drawing by director James Gunn appears to confirm the character’s appearance. “A certain new character may be obvious, the others not quite so much,” Gunn said. [JamesGunn]
Ghostbusters featurette
Who knew Thor had such comedic timing? When Chris Hemsworth appears in the Ghostbusters reboot this summer, he won’t play a norse God or some macho action hero. Instead, he’ll play a goofy receptionist Hemsworth describes as a “big, dumb puppy dog.” See for yourself in the video above.

Disney live-action movies
Whether you like them or not, Disney is going hard in the paint on live-action remakes, setting dates for more live-action movies. Among them will be a Jungle Book sequel. You can see all the dates and projects Disney working on in the source link. [EW]

Wet Hot America Summer sequel
If you don’t “get” Wet Hot American Summer, you have no reason to be excited about Netflix greenlighting a sequel. The show was originally a cult movie, and was later made into an original for Netflix, which wound up being a prequel despite the actors being much, much older. Now, however, there’s going to be a proper sequel, revealing how all the characters turned out following that fateful summer in 1981.

Goosebumps sequel
Goosebumps spawned several books during its reign in the 90s, and it turns out there could be several movies, too. Following the success of the first movie, Sony is apparently looking to make a sequel, presumably with the original cast involved. [HollywoodReporter]

Zombieland 2
Zombieland 2, long in development purgatory, will reportedly begin filming this summer. It has been seven years since the original came out, so the sequel is certainly a long time coming. Ruben Fleischer is apparently returning to direct, which is a start. Does that mean the original cast will also return? [BloodyDisgusting]

It’s happening: I get to write The Punisher in italics. When he was just a character on Marvel’s Daredevil show, he was just the Punisher, but now Marvel has ordered a spin-off series starring the gun-toting vigilante, so he’s The Punisher. It makes sense. Even…
