JOBS, the Steve Jobs biopic starring Ashton Kutcher and originally titled jOBS: Get Inspired, is set for release nationwide on August 16 (four months after it was originally slated to open), according to a report from The Wrap. The film, which was initially intended for TV, debuted at the Sundance Film Festival, but faced endless delays in the name of marketing.
The film stars Kutcher as the the deceased Apple CEO with co-stars including Josh Gad as Steve “Woz” Wozniak, James Woods, Dermot Mulroney, Matthew Modine, Lukas Hass and Ahna O’Reilly. JOBS was written by Matt Whiteley and directed by Joshua Michael Stern. This will be the first major Steve Jobs biopic (unless you count Funny of Die’s iSteve), with Aaron Sorkin still working on the script for Sony’s biopic based on the autobiography written by Walter Isaacson.
