After delighting audiences with its endlessly cute cast of characters in July, a sequel to the Secret Life of Pets has been greenlit. Audiences can look forward to July 13, 2018, as the date when the flick will be released.
The film was beloved by audiences and further established illumination Entertainment, responsible for the Despicable Me franchise, as a big force in animation. Since its release on July 8, the movie has raked in $400 million at the worldwide box office.
This year has been pretty fantastic for animation, with movies such as Zootopia and Finding Dory among the other standouts. No word on if the original cast, which includes Kevin Hart, Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, and Albert Brooks, will return.
