The next future team member of The Defenders will see his first season air on Netflix next month. Marvel’s Luke Cage will be posted on September 30, 2016.
We first got a taste of Cage on Netflix as he was featured in the recent (and incredible) Jessica Jones.
Luke Cage himself will eventually be a part of Netflix’s first superhero team show as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and, the currently missing, Iron Fist all get together. So far, the connection between the heroes is mix of solid and tenous, with the only constant character between each show that we know of so far being Claire Temple, the nurse who helps Daredevil and, eventually, Jessica Jones, each during their own shows. She’s in this trailer for Luke Cage.
The plan for Netflix is to get all these heroes launched before rolling them into one Defenders show. So far, so good. I’m excited for Luke Cage, and I can’t wait to see what they do with Iron Fist.
