Suicide Squad takes massive tumble in second week at the box office

Bad reviews may be catching up to the Squad it seems.

1. Suicide Squad

Suicide Squad took a mighty hit this week dropping 67.3 percent in its second weekend to take in $43.77M for a new domestic total of $222.87M and a global total of $465.37M off of its $175M budget. This decline is notable as it is the second worst in DC film history. The worst being Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

2. Sausage Party

The new R-rated animated film Sausage Party took in a healthy $33.6M this weekend off of its $19M budget, but we need to see where it goes in the coming weeks to see if this is a true hit.

3. Pete’s Dragon

Disney’s remake of Pete’s Dragon took in $21.5M off of its $65M budget to land in third place.

4. Jason Bourne

Jason Bourne slipped into fourth place this week with $13.62M to bring its total to $126.78M in the U.S. and $246.18M globally off of a $120M budget.

5. Bad Moms

Bad Moms continues to do well landing in fifth place with $11.45M for a new domestic total of $71.46M off of a $20M budget. Globally it sits at $85M.
