With a March release fast approaching, the first teasers for the live-action Ghost in the Shell film have been released. There’s not much in the way of information but they sure are stylish, and they also provide a good look at Scarlett Johansson as Major Motoko Kusanagi.
The teasers are mind-bending and glitchy, giving viewers just a few seconds of footage in each video.
Originally released as a manga, Ghost in the Shell has also been adapted into two animated films, with the most recent releasing in 2015. Below is the official live-action movie synopsis:
Cyborg policewoman The Major (Scarlett Johansson), and her task force Section 9 thwart cyber criminals and hackers. Now, they must face a new enemy who will stop at nothing to sabotage Hanka Robotic’s Artificial Intelligence technology.
Ghost in the Shell is set for a March 31, 2017 release.
