“Views,” the latest album from Drake, has become the first to surpass 1 billion streams on Apple Music. Drake announced the news on Instagram with a photo of him alongside Apple CEO Tim Cook, iTunes chief Eddy Cue, and Apple Music’s head of content, Larry Jackson.

Apple gifted Drake a celebratory plaque to mark the milestone, which also serves as an advert for Apple Music. Drake has also released a 23-minute short film to accompany the album, which you can watch through iTunes or on an iOS device.

Titled “Please Forgive Me,” the film follows Drake and girlfriend Fanny Neguesha as they attempt to steal a wealthy man’s fortune, according to MacRumors. Songs like “One Dance,” “Controlla,” “9,” and “Views” are all heard throughout.

When it made its debut back in April, “Views” was exclusive to iTunes and Apple Music for five days before being made available elsewhere. During that time, the album sold a whopping 1 million copies, despite being free for Apple Music subscribers.

Apple has secured a number of deals like this one in an effort to attract new subscribers to its music streaming service. It now has 17 million paying customers, according to the latest count, which is still some way off the 40 million subscribers boasted by Spotify Premium.
