Dyson released a new cleaning machine on Tuesday geared towards cleaning hard floors. The cordless Dyson Hard is powered by the powerful V2 Dyson digital motor that spins at 104,000 rpm. The real appeal of the Dyson Hard is it vacuums, “mops,” and dries all in one try. Fairly useful since apparently 97 percent of U.S. homes have some type of hard floor surface. The double-edge cleaner head vacuums dust and dirt on both ends while a wet wipe cleans in between.

The Dyson Hard features the same material found in riot shields and has gone through extensive physical tests to ensure the dangers of home use; has been slammed into objects nearly 40,000 times and been “slapped, dropped, and knocked over” nearly 6,000 times. Check out the video below to get a full look at the torture tests the Dyson Hard has had to endure to get to market.
