Zack Snyder this week shared another photo from the Justice League set, this time of himself sitting over what looks like a 12.9-inch iPad Pro (and Apple Pencil!). While the image seems pretty innocuous at first—save for Snyder wearing a Batman gauntlet—it tells us a little about what’s on the horizon.
Blink and you’ll miss it, but look closer and it you’ll notice a familiar face on Snyder’s tablet. Thanks to a “li’l bit of photoshop and enhancements,” the DC Extended Universe Twitter was able to get a clearer picture of what the director is looking at. Why, it’s Slade Wilson’s Deathstroke, of course.
The storyboard Snyder is studying shows the character wearing an eyepatch, which suggests it’s before he wears the fancy getup teased by Ben Affleck. Looks like we’ll get some kind of Deathstroke origin story.
When Joe Manganiello was confirmed as the DCEU’s Deathstroke, many wondered if he’d show up in Justice League or be saved for Ben Affleck’s solo Batman flick. Well, if Snyder is indeed doing some Deathstroke research, it looks like we have our answer.
