Amazon Music Unlimited is now available in the U.K. just a month after making its debut in the United States. Prices start at just £3.99 (approx. $5) a month for those who want to enjoy the service exclusively on an Amazon Echo speaker.
Like its competitors, Music Unlimited provides access to “tens of millions” of tracks that are all available for unlimited, on-demand streaming (without ads). It also comes in several different flavors at different price points to suit your needs.
The cheapest is just £3.99 a month, and it gives you access to Music Unlimited on one Echo speaker. For £7.99 (approx. $10) a month, you can get a standard subscription that lets you enjoy Music Unlimited on multiple devices — including phones and tablets.
Alternatively, you can pay £79.99 a year for the later, saving you £15.98 (approx. $20) annually. Amazon has also said a family plan, which will allow up to six people to share one subscription, is coming later this year — but it’s currently unclear how much that will cost in the U.K.
If you’re not a Prime subscriber, Music Unlimited is priced at £9.99 (approx. $12.50) a month.
Free Prime Music is still alive
Prime Music, which is free for those who pay for Prime, is going nowhere — but it offers nowhere near as many songs (about 2 million). If you’re unsure about paying for the upgrade to Music Unlimited, you can enjoy a 30-day trial for free before you hand over any cash.
