We already knew Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) was “reckless, aggressive, and undisciplined.” Turns out, she can also kick major ass.
Felicity Jones visited the Tonight Show last night, and she brought the clip you see above with her. The relevant bit starts at about the 3:11 mark but the entire interview is worth a watch.
In the clip, Jyn and Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) are seen being ambushed by a patrol of Stormtroopers. And while it initially looks like the two are outmatched, Jyn has other ideas.
After breaking out some kind of space-baton she proceeds to kick the living snot out of the poor Imperial zealots. It’s almost not fair the way she dispatches them one by one—and it’s hilarious to see Cassian just stare in awe.
It’s funny, too
It’s a really great clip full of tension, drama, and action. It’s also funny, with a nice joke at the end. I won’t spoil it, so check it out for yourself in the video above.
We’re only a few weeks away from the release of Rogue One, which hits theaters on Dec. 16.
