In Spider-Man’s solo outing next summer, the character will wear a suit that features a few upgrades inspired by Steve Ditko.
According to Ryan Penagos, vice president and executive editor of Marvel digital media, Tom Holland’s Spidey will feature web wings, something that was featured in the early comics.
There's a case from Tony Stark with an "upgrade" for Spidey. Then we see Spidey leap off a building, open his arms, web wings! #ccxp2016 2/?

At a Comic Con Experience in Brazil on Friday, Marvel showed off the first clip from the upcoming movie, which Penagos said was “short but AWESOME.”
Apparently, the clip starts with Spider-Man talking to Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau), and cuts to Spidey receiving a case from Tony Stark with an upgrade for his suit. This upgrade turns out to be web wings, which Spider-Man excitedly tests out by leaping off a building.
“That classic underarm webbing look was just so rad,” Penagos says.
When we saw him in Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man’s suit went from homemade pajamas to high-tech thanks to Tony Stark. Now, we’ll see his suit feature another cool new upgrade. Yet another reason why Holland’s Spider-Man is shaping up to be the best ever.
What else does he have in store?
At the end of Civil War, we saw Spidey playing with a signal light. Combine that with his new web wings and he’ll have a handful of toys to play with when fighting Michael Keaton’s Vulture.
What other upgrades are in store? Well, seeing the Iron Spider armor would be nice.
It’s unclear if or when the clip shown off to audiences in Brazil will be available online, but rumor has it Marvel will release footage over the weekend. If true, we’ll be all over it.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
