The Pokémon Company is releasing all of the Pokémon soundtracks through iTunes this year, but this should be the only one you need. Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green‘s tunes are now available for purchase for $11.99.
The two games are remakes of the classic Game Boy originals, and their chiptunes are the ones which made the the series’ music so popular thanks to composers Junichi Masuda, Gō Ichinose, and Morikazu Aoki. The Pokémon FireRed & Pokémon LeafGreen: Super Music Collection features over 90 fully orchestrated tracks guaranteed to spark a few memories of hiding your Game Boy beneath the table at lunch and taking out your buddies with Mewtwo.
I have heard the music from most of the Pokémon games, however, the only generation I skipped, the Gold and Silver games, supposedly have the best songs in the series. Can anybody back this claim up?
