If you’re not convinced Hollywood’s live-action Ghost in the Shell will be any good, perhaps four and a half minutes of uninterrupted action will change your mind.
Paramount Pictures has unveiled a lengthy clip from the beginning of the movie, which shows Scarlett Johansson’s Major jump off a building and eliminating a group of assassin’s—including a creepy robot dressed as a geisha.
The clip is visually arresting, using a combination of special effects, slow motion, and choreographed action to evoke a specific mood. It also helps set up some of the movie’s plot, while introducing important characters.
Below is the movie’s synopsis:
Cyborg counter-cyberterrorist field command The Major and her task force Section 9 thwart cyber criminals and hackers. Now, they must face a new enemy who will stop at nothing to sabotage Hanka Robotics’ artificial intelligence technology.
