These retro Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 posters look fantastic

We’ve gotten teasers, trailers, and more pictures than we know what to do with. Now, several character posters for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 have been shared, and they look like they were pulled from a vintage card collection. I wouldn’t mind owning these if Marvel decided to make them available.

The character posters come after a delightfully vivid IMAX poster for the upcoming flick hit the web. We love the retro motif being explored by Marvel, which translates perfectly to the Guardian of the Galaxy universe, black light tinged and all.

Following the more serious Logan, Guardians of the Galaxy will be a nice respite. Below is the upcoming films official synopsis:

Set two-to-three months after the first film, the Guardians of the Galaxy travel throughout the cosmos and struggle to keep their new-found family together, while helping Peter Quill learn more about his true parentage.

This might be Marvel Studios’ best movie yet

Apparently, Guardians 2 has scored phenomenally well with test audiences, which is really no surprise. Many people consider the first film to be one of the best in the MCU, and it’s looking like the sequel will be even better. It’s hard not to like the movie when Baby Groot is involved.

Some of the new character in the sequel include Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Ayesha (Elizabetch Debicki), and Ego (Kurt Russell), the latter of whom is Peter Quill’s father. You can get your first glimpse of the character in action right here.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5.
