Spider-Man: Homecoming—Watch over four hilarious minutes from Spidey’s solo debut

In anticipation of the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming on July 7, four minutes from the movie has been dropped online. The footage isn’t meant to spoil the movie ahead of its release, but to remind you that Tom Holland is absolutely the perfect choice to play Spider-Man.

If you’re not caught up on Captain America: Civil War, the footage features a few light spoilers for the climactic Berlin airport scene, in which Spider-Man is recruited by Tony Stark to join the fight against Captain America. (In hindsight, the decision by Stark to include Spider-Man was negligent and irresponsible, two of Stark’s biggest traits.)

But in addition to catching audiences up on where Spidey was the last time we saw him, the footage gives us a great sense of what Holland is like as the web slinger: energetic, charming, and infectiously enthusiastic.

In the footage, Holland is seen documenting his trip over to Berlin, accompanied by a very unhappy Happy Hogan, who acts as Spidey’s chaperone throughout the trip. The clip also shows what the battle was like from Spider-Man’s perspective, along with his trip back to his home in Queens.

Of course, once they’re back in New York, Tony Stark doesn’t miss an opportunity to remark about Spidey’s Aunt May, who is played by Marisa Tomei. Yep, Tony Stark is not a great mentor.

You can check out the footage in the video above. And don’t forget to read our review of Spider-Man: Homecoming in the link below.
