Last year Silicon Valley premiered on HBO, offering a hilariously cynical take on the tech startup scene as well as the big players that dominate the industry. Now, we finally know when season 2 of the Mike Judge-created show will make its debut. Clear your calendar for April 12 and get ready to reconnect with Richard Hendriks and the rest of the Pied Piper team.
There’s still plenty of time to catch up on Silicon Valley season 1, but if you need a quick refresh here’s where we left off. Warning: spoilers ahead. After a rough first season and a showdown with Hooli (a fictional stand-in for Google), Pied Piper managed to score a huge win at a satirized version of TechCrunch Disrupt with its powerful compression software. We can only imagine that season 2 will pick up shortly where last year’s finale left off as the small startup is catapulted to success.
We’ll be counting the days until season 2 kicks off, and as you already know Silicon Valley isn’t the only show returning to HBO on April 12. We’ll also be kicking off Game of Thrones season 5, along with Veep season 4 for any Julia Louis-Dreyfus fans out there. April can’t come soon enough.
