Marvel’s Daredevil hit Netflix just over a week ago, and it’s already being renewed for a second season.
Netflix late Tuesday sent out a press blurb to announce the show’s successful first run won’t be the end for Matt Murdock. Fans and critics have sung the praises of the grittier, darker take on Daredevil, and Netflix has heard them loud and clear.
Unfortunately, the second season won’t premiere until 2016—I would imagine around the same time the first season hit. There isn’t a whole lot of information about the second season right now; Netflix did say that Doug Petrie (American Horror Story) and Marco Ramirez (Sons of Anarchy) will serve as show runners.
If you haven’t yet seen Daredevil (like me), and want to learn more about whether or not it lives up to the hype, you can read TechnoBuffalo’s review here. The response has obviously been good enough to warrant more. That’s great news for Netflix, and even better news for Daredevil fans.
