The Suicide Squad has been revealed, and for a lot of fans, most importantly we have our first image of Harley Quinn.
Director David Ayers is using his Twitter account to show off his upcoming Suicide Squad movie. So far he has shown us Jared Leto as the Joker, and now we see the entirety of Task Force X (AKA the Suicide Squad). Of course, while it’s nice to see the entire team, the majority of comics fans have been waiting for a glimpse of Margot Robbie as the Joker’s girlfriend, Harley Quinn. She’s front and center, and while it is close to the current incarnation of the comic, it is definitely not spot on.
The team consists of in the picture, from left-to-right,

- Katana (Karen Fukuhara)
- Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman)
- Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie)

- El Diablo (Jay Hernandez)
It does seem odd the Joker is missing from this team shot which makes you wonder what role he plays exactly in the story. We’ll just have to wait and see.
The Suicide Squad will hit theaters on August 5, 2016.
