See full gallery on TechnoBuffaloGiven the circumstances surrounding Civil War’s story, you’d think the mood on set would be grim and dour. But that doesn’t appear to be the case at all, as these new set photos prove. Man, filming Marvel movies looks like the funnest things ever. Not only are Crossbones and Captain America laughing their heads off, but Ant-Man, Falcon and Scarlet Witch are also in on the fun.
As production trudges on, more and more characters for the film keep popping up, including an appearance by Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). Filming appears to be taking place in the same shanty town location that we’ve seen in previous photos, perhaps in Wakanda. There’s a rumor going around claiming Black Panther is pursuing Winter Soldier in Wakanda, which could be why some of the other Avengers are there.
Otherwise, we don’t really get that much of an idea of what’s happening. Crossbones is obviously unhappy with Captain America, so there’s going to be a terrific showdown there. These pictures actually reveal that, without his helmet, Crossbones does look like he’s been through hell and back, as his face features far more scars than we saw the other day. It appears that for scenes where he has his helmet on, Frank Grillo, who is playing Crossbones, doesn’t need as much makeup.
We’re still waiting to see Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Helmut Zemo (Daniel Brühl), Martin Freeman, Vision (Paul Bettany) and, of course, Spider-Man, so we’ll keep our eye out for appearances by them.
