In addition to Inside Out, Ant-Man, The Good Dinosaur, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Captain America: Civil War, Disney has a new animated feature coming out from the creators of Frozen and Big Hero 6. So what if Tomorrowland was a dud? Disney movie division is practically printing money, and Zootopia looks like veritable hit. Call me crazy, but there’s nothing better than a humorous animated flick.
The trailer doesn’t exactly show footage of the movie. Instead, Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), who is a fox, sets up what Zootopia is all about. Rather than humans ruling the Earth, animals are the ones in charge. Except they’re not the kind of wild animals you and I know them to be today. They have jobs, they pay taxes, and they’re just as miserable as we are.
Here’s the official synopsis, as provided by Disney:
In the animal city of Zootopia, a fast-talking fox who’s trying to make it big goes on the run when he’s framed for a crime he didn’t commit. Zootopia’s top cop, a self-righteous rabbit, is hot on his tail, but when both become targets of a conspiracy, they’re forced to team up and discover even natural enemies can become best friends.
The animation looks top notch, the voice acting on point. How can you resist? Zootopia will hit theaters on March 4, 2016.
