The biggest Batman news of the week may have nothing to do with an epic showdown between the caped crusader and Superman. I’m way more excited by the first trailer for The Lego Batman Movie, which arrived on Thursday to brighten up your morning.
The animated film looks like an excellent follow-up to The Lego Movie, which was way better than anyone had hoped it could be. This time, the bar will be set pretty high, but I still have faith that Will Arnett’s Batman can deliver.
The trailer doesn’t reveal much when it comes to actual plot. We see Batman returning home after a long day of saving the world with some help from Superman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Justice League. Dressed in a casual robe and still wearing his iconic mask, our hero heats up some dinner in the microwave and before dining on top of his parked Batplane.
