With a title and release date already confirmed, Marvel is apparently looking to fill out the cast for Spider-Man: Homecoming. So who is going to join Tom Holland?
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Michael Keaton is currently in talks to play the villain, which could line up neatly with a recent rumor claiming Vulture will be one of Spider-Man’s new foes.
“Talks are in the very early stages—it’s not quite clear if there’s [an] offer on the table—but overtures are there,” the Hollywood Reporter said on Wednesday.
Homecoming is set to begin filming this summer, with a release currently scheduled for July 2017. We should find out pretty soon if Keaton is going to partake. Until then, audiences can catch Spider-Man’s MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War, which hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
