Casting has begun for Star Wars: Episode VII, and the notes sent out to casting directors gives us some insight as to what is to come.
Bleeding Cool has come up with a document that it says it has 100 percent verified as being an authentic set of casting notes for Star Wars: Episode VII.
Late-teen female, independent, good sense of humour, fit.
Young twenty-something male, witty and smart, fit but not traditionally good looking.
A late twentysomething male, fit, handsome and confident.
Seventy-something male, with strong opinions and tough demeanour. Also doesn’ t need to be particularly fit.
A second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and fit.
Forty something male, fit, military type.
Thirtysomething male, intellectual. Apparently doesn’t need to be fit.
What can we discern from this? It appears that a galaxy far, far away is a very fit place.
There has been a lot of speculation that the new series of films will deal with the children of Han Solo and Princess Leia, so the emphasis on “late-teen” girls and “twenty-something” males could definitely lend some credence to that.
Filming is expected to start in the early part of 2014, so it makes sense that casting would begin now so the actors could go through whatever training their roles will require.
