Before all you kiddies head back to school, Uncle Seth has a completely deranged movie to show you. We hope parents don’t somehow mistake Sausage Party’s cutesy animation for a kid’s movie because this one is most definitely not aimed at small children. Heck, I don’t even know if I can handle it, it’s that wild.
What happens when people realize the food they’re eating have feelings? What happens when the food fight pack? In Sausage Party, Seth Rogen plays a sausage—well, more like a hotdog—who attempts to warn food at the grocery store that the great beyond isn’t the place they’ve been led to believe. Get taken home and it’s game over.
As you’d expect from an R-rated comedy about hot dogs and buns, there are a lot of innuendo, and also plenty of laughs. We talked to the Sausage Party directors recently, so we’ll have that for you soon. For now, check out the latest naughty trailer from what could wind up being the best animated films this year.
Sausage Party hits theaters on Aug. 12, 2016.
