Well, in addition to investigating Thanos, the Norse god has been enjoying a pretty normal life in Australia, playing cruel tricks on his roommate Darryl and generally enjoying life. He also, apparently, got a hair cut.
Seemingly annoyed by his flowing gold locks, the Asgardian was seen on the set of Thor: Ragnarok sporting a hairstyle far removed from what we’re used to. I mean, it is summer, so maybe his long hair got too hot.
Some potential spoilers ahead.
The truth is, Thor’s buzzed head actually gives us a few hints about what to expect from the upcoming film. Rumor has it Thor will get banished from Asgard and stripped of his fancy cape and hammer. And as one final humiliating blow, his hair will be shaved off, too.
It’s probably just as well, because Thor will allegedly be fighting as a gladiator in Ragnarok, and we don’t want anyone tugging on his long locks. For good measure, the pictures also suggest he’ll be sporting a beard, giving him a gruffer appearance.
There’s an upcoming comic book storyline called The Unworthy Thor where the God of Thunder sports a new haircut, so perhaps Ragnarok is taking a cue from that. Check out an image of his new hairdo below.
