Frank Ocean finally released a new album on Friday, but you’ll need an Apple Music subscription to give it a spin. Endless is a 45-minute-long visual album from the elusive artist, and it may just be the first part of a two-pronged musical attack.

Endless takes place in a large warehouse filmed in black and white. The music is mostly toned down, though there are a few standout moments. The final track, which references various competing smartphone brands like Apple, Samsung and Sony, is a lot of fun. The more atmospheric sections are enjoyable too, and it’s just great to hear so much new music from Frank Ocean all at once.
The album also includes contributions from major artists like James Blake, Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood and the London Contemporary Orchestra, according to the tracklist offered up by Apple Music. Ocean gets musical credits for piano and guitar. He’s also listed as executive producer and creative director.
Rolling Stone reports that Endless is actually a separate project from the main album, which was previously called Boys Don’t Cry but will launch this weekend under a new name. The second album will also apparently be an Apple Music exclusive, so it may be time for Frank Ocean fans to subscribe to the service if they haven’t already.
