Compared to previous Marvel fare, the hoopla surrounding Doctor Strange has been relatively muted. In fact, it’s the studio’s upcoming projects—Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Thor: Ragnarok—that have fans excited.
Marvel hasn’t helped Doctor Strange’s case by being so quiet about what to expect, only revealing the occasional trailer and set picture.
With the movie about two months away, Marvel this week introduced a new video (attached to the Blu-ray release of Captain America: Civil War) that provides a few more details. Like, for example, how Mads Mikkelsen’s character, Kaecilius, is part of a dangerous group called the Zealots.
According to Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, the Zealots are “people who become seduced by what they see on the other side.”
The whole concept of Doctor Strange seems to revolve around the existence of alternate realities and Kaecilius’ evil plans to break down the barriers between the different dimensions.
Doctor Strange hits theaters on Nov. 4.
