New Rogue One droid looks like R2-D2’s evil brother

K-2SO won’t be the only new droid introduced in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. In addition to the lanky humanoid voiced by Alan Tudyk, the Star Wars Show on Wednesday revealed a new astromech droid coming to a galaxy far, far away this December, and it looks like R2-D2’s evil brother.

Named C2-B5, the Imperial astromech is brand new to the Star Wars universe. It’s unclear how this new droid fits into the story, or if it even has any role of significance at all, but wouldn’t it be cool to see C2-B5 following around Darth Vader when he makes his big screen return?

These astromechs are used by the Empire to repair machinery and perform general upkeep, but they’re not granted independence. That means, when we do see this droid come December, it could be a brainwashed puppet of the Imperial army. Maybe he used to be a friend of K-2SO’s?

Or maybe he’s R2-D2 in disguise?! We’ll find out when Rogue One hits theaters on Dec. 16.
