See full gallery on TechnoBuffaloNetflix has already provided us with two very good looks at Marvel’s Luke Cage, and a new clip is further highlighting what makes Mike Colter’s superhero so fun to watch.
Even though he’s almost indifferent about this whole superhero thing, Colter’s take on Cage still has an assured swagger, and he displays a wonderfully obvious disdain for having to buy new clothes every time he’s riddled with bullets.
The clip below expands on what was included at the end of last year’s Jessica Jones. In it, we find Luke Cage confront a group of baddies at a boxing gym, dispatching them one-by-one as though they’re balls of paper. Then, a few of the helpless thugs pull out their guns and unload on Cage, who stands there without a care in the world.
“I’m about sick of always having to buy new clothes,” Cage responds, his clothes now full of bullet holes.
It perfectly sums up what makes Colter’s Cage so perfect for his own show. He’s tough, charming, and funny in a serious kind of way. Fans of the character will get to binge watch his new show when it hits Netflix on Sept. 30.
