See full gallery on TechnoBuffaloHave you ever wondered what your Patronus might be? You know, if you were a wizard who could cast spells and repel Dementors? An update to J.K. Rowling’s Pottermore site will tell you—but you have to take a quiz first.
Expecto Patronum, a spell in the Harry Potter universe, casts an incarnation of the user’s positive feelings, taking on the form of a silvery animal to protect against Dementors. We first get a glimpse at a Patronus Charm in Prisoner of Azkaban when Remus Lupin repels a Dementor by uttering the incantation.
The multiple choice quiz is pretty straightforward and requires users to pick answers without thinking. While the site takes users through a dark forest, options are presented onscreen; don’t think, just choose. Once you answer four or five questions your Patronus will be revealed.
According to Rowling, she apparently got a pine marten Patronus when the quiz was a work in progress. However, after taking it again, her new Patronus was a heron.
After a few minutes of build-up and enchantment my Patronus was revealed to be… a red squirrel. Go figure. You can take the quiz yourself at the link down below.
