CW’s third season of The Flash premieres tonight, October 4, kicking off this year’s round of DC television shows including The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, and CBS transplant Supergirl. Season 2 ended with Barry Allen defeating Zoom and setting in motion a chain of events that will bring about one of the character’s biggest storylines in recent history, Flashpoint.
Just in time for the premiere, we have a short clip to whet our appetites featuring Barry Allen gloating to the Reverse Flash, Eobard Thawne, played by Matt Letscher, about how he has everything figured out – there’s a new Flash in town, the Reverse Flash is contained, and Barry has all the family members back that the Reverse Flash and Zoom took from him. The Reverse Flash, however, is from a distant future, and thinks otherwise.
While the original Flashpoint storyline featured alternate versions of characters like Superman and Superman that aren’t (yet) part of the CW DC universe, so this version of Flashpoint will invariably be different, but we’re looking forward to seeing where it goes when it airs tonight.
