When Jurassic World hit theaters two years ago, the film featured the return of a classic dinosaur from Jurassic Park: the T. rex. Its appearance featured a kick-ass fight with the Indominus Rex in a now classic scene, and the dinosaur has just been confirmed to return in Jurassic World 2.
The T. rex is affectionately known as Rexy, and Colin Trevorrow matter of factly responded to a question on Twitter confirming she would return to wreak havoc in Jurassic World 2 when it hits theaters in 2018.
Confirmed. Tell her when she wakes up. https://t.co/d39LBJ7LK5

Colin Trevorrow directed Jurassic World but is only serving as producer for the sequel, while up and coming director J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls) takes over directing duties.
No news on any other dinosaurs in Jurassic World 2
Unfortunately, the update does not come with news on whether the Indominus Rex, raptors or the Mosasaurus would return. What we do know is that Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will return to reprise their roles from Jurassic World.
The plot for the movie is still being kept under wraps, but hopefully well find out more details in the coming months. Jurassic World 2 is scheduled to be released June 22, 2018.
