HBO on Thursday released the first bundle of photos for Games of Thrones season 7, and everyone is looking pretty fabulous. Even Lyanna Mormont, who stole the show in season 6, makes an appearance.
Pretty much every major character is represented in the photos: Bran Stark, Samwell Tarly, Davos Seaworth. Basically, all of the big guns. There’s even a shot of Tormund looking pretty interested in Brienne of Tarth. Clearly, Tormund isn’t shy about his interest for Brienne. I can’t help but chuckle at his sly grin.
Perhaps the most notable return to the fray is Littlefinger, who everyone knows is a slimy son of a gun. So, what’s he up to this season? And why is he talking to Sansa, who’s looking as regal as ever?
HBO released a teaser ahead of the show’s return, which teases the imminent arrival of of the White Walkers. Seeing these photos makes us that much more excited to see what’s next, what with Cersei on the Iron Throne, Jon Snow at Winterfell, and Daynerys at Dragonstone.
Game of Thrones returns to HBO on June 16.
