Marvel has made it a habit of announcing its upcoming roadmap well ahead of schedule. In 2014, it laid out plans for Phase 3, which will culminate in 2019 with Avengers: Infinity War Part 2. But what happens after that? Marvel won’t share those plans anytime soon.

According to Comic Book, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed that the movies in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe won’t be announced like in years past. The news was revealed during an open house event with journalists that showed off new Black Panther footage and concept art for Captain Marvel. That means that we don’t know what’s happening with Marvel movies beyond 2019.

There are two new Avenger movies scheduled in the next two years, of which will likely feature new characters we have yet to see. Revealing the titles would spoil the surprise. There might also be deaths that would eliminate certain characters from having a future with the franchise.

Phase 3 plans changed slightly with the shuffling of release dates and the addition of new characters, most notably Spider-Man. In the subsequent time, Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel were announced with release dates in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Then there’s Avengers: Infinity War due out next year, followed by an untitled Avengers sequel (originally titled Avengers: Infinity War Part 2) that will mark the conclusion of Phase 3 in May 2019.

We do know of two movies that will be in Phase 4

For all the smoke and mirrors Marvel is throwing at us, we know Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 are happening, so there are a couple of movies that will be a part of Phase 4 that we know of. Beyond that, we can guess there may be sequels to Doctor Strange and Black Panther, but that hasn’t been confirmed. Could we also see another Iron Man?
