We’re edging closer and closer to the release of Godzilla, which means it’s time to start rolling out an aggressive advertising campaign to drum up hype. And wouldn’t you know it, a big TV spot has been unleashed that gives us a really good look at what the monster looks like—even better than the most recent trailer. He looks angry, and massive. We also get more insight into the Man vs. Nature theme, and some of the human drama between the movie’s leading characters.
“It’s not the end of the world,” says Elle Brody, played by Elizabeth Olsen. Oh, but it is.
Did you know that Godzilla is being played by Andy Serkis, who also played Gollum from The Lord of the Rings movies? I had no idea until looking up the cast today. You learn something new everyday.
The more footage I see of this rebooted classic, the more excited I get. Godzilla will hit theaters on May 16, but you can actually purchase presale tickets starting Monday, April 21.
