Not content to simply reboot Godzilla, Legendary Pictures on Saturday also confirmed it will explore a film based on the famed Skull Island, which is the fictional home of King Kong. No details have been revealed just yet, though the film already has a release date: Nov. 4, 2016. Comic-Con has already been full of some big announcements, but they just keep on coming. This is truly shaping up to be the golden age of sci-fi/comic films.

Attendees at Comic-Con actually got a very brief teaser, which featured a very quick glimpse at the film’s setting. It’s not expected to be a sequel of the 2005 movie, which was directed by Peter Jackson, though the film will focus on King Kong. No director is attached just yet, nor have any actors been named. But that doesn’t really matter when King Kong and Skull Island are the main centerpieces.

In a description by io9, who were fortunate to attend the Legendary panel, the short teaser describes a place when “vegetation rioted on Earth and big trees were kings.” A voiceover in the teaser quotes straight from Joseph Conrad’s classic Heart of Darkness, so chances are the film will feature similar themes.
