Tomorrowland is one of the biggest mysteries in the realm of film news as of late. No one is quite sure what the heck it is about, but with the release of a teaser trailer we finally have at least some idea.
In the trailer we see Casey Newton (Britt Robertson) picking up her personal effects from some sort of detention facility. Amongst those items is a pin she says isn’t heres, but as soon as she touches it she is transported to a wheat field. Scared, she releases it and then goes on to touch it again, and then once more to where she finally stands in the field to look around, spotting some sort of city off in the distance. George Clooney says in narration to imagine a place where anything is possible. When he finally appears on screen, he inquires if she would like to go.
We still don’t know what the heck this film is about, but it’s from Disney, and uses the name of one of its most famous theme park areas. Additionally its written by Brad Bird (The Incredibles) and Damon Lindelof (LOST), so I’m intrigued to say the least.
Tomorrowland hits theaters on May 22, 2015.
