Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer to Debut This Friday in Limited Locations (Updated)

Everyone prepare to make the jump to hyperspace when it comes to Star Wars: The Force Awakens promotion because the first trailer is inbound this Friday.

Before you all head out to your local cineplex and buy a ticket this weekend just to catch the trailer, we have some unfortunate news: You need to live in the right place. As of right now, the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer will run at only nine Regal Cinema locations around the country from Nov. 28 to Nov. 30. The locations are:

• CA Irvine Edwards Irvine Spectrum 22 & IMAX
• CA San Diego Edwards Mira Mesa Stadium 18 IMAX & RPX
• GA Atlanta Regal Atlantic Station Stadium 18 IMAX & RPX
• IL Chicago Regal City North Stadium 14 IMAX & RPX
• NY New York Regal Union Square Stadium 14
• PA Warrington Regal Warrington Crossing Stadium 22 & IMAX
• TN Knoxville Regal Pinnacle Stadium 18 IMAX & RPX
• TX Houston Edwards Houston Marq’E Stadium 23 IMAX & RPX
• WA Seattle Regal Thornton Place Stadium 14 & IMAX

There is no word yet as to when, if ever, this trailer will show up online, but it is sure to at some point. There is also no news announced yet if fans in other countries will get to see this trailer at the same time or not.

While this is annoying to Star Wars fans to say the least, there is no doubt this is going to get the hype machine working overtime to get people pumped for this movie. (Because, yes, there was a danger of that not happening…)

For those of you choosing to head out to the theaters to catch it, the trailer is said to be running before every movie showtime at those nine locations.
