I’m ready to lineup for Age of Ultron. The first trailer was pretty stinking great, and this second one reaffirms what we already knew: this movie is going to kick all kinds of butt. Hulk butt, Hulkbuster butt, etc. I’ll be there on day one, a big ole’ tub of popcorn in my lap. Are you kidding me with this second trailer? It’s so good.
The same No Strings motif plays quietly in the background in our second look, but Ultron isn’t really the focus this time around. This time it’s how some of the Avengers are dealing with their responsibilities of Avenger-ness, and the measures that need to be taken to keep peace in a “vulnerable world.” Iron Man thinks he has the answer, when in reality he’s just making it worse. Classic Stark Complex.
Things get really tense between Thor, Iron Man and Hulk, and man I can’t wait to see the actual fight between Hulkbuster and Hulk take place. We see a bit more footage from that scene, and it looks absolutely brutal. About the only character we haven’t seen much of so far has been Quicksilver, but all in due time. All in due time.
May 1, 2015 is when Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters.
Side note: who is that mysterious character de-robing at the 0:32 mark? Something to explore in the coming days.
