We’re still not sure what to think about the new Terminator movie. The franchise was never going to reach the heights of Judgement Day, but damned if we didn’t enjoy the latest trailer. I think the best way to approach Genisys is just to enjoy the movie for what it is: mindless entertainment. Oh, and it’s hilarious to see Arnold’s grandpa terminator with white hair.
The new footage will be shown off during the Big Game this Sunday, giving folks a good look at young Sarah Connor and old robot Arnold. Below is the official synopsis:
After finding himself in a new time-line, Kyle Reese teams up with John Connor’s mother Sarah and an aging terminator to try and stop the one thing the future feature: Judgement Day.
The first trailer was definitely confusing, but this shorter look is much more concise and focused. That is to say: it’s all about the action. I can’t wait to see aging terminator fight young terminator, and that new T-1000 (played by Byung-hun Lee) looks awesome.
Terminator: Genysis will hit theaters on July 1, 2015.
