Everyone’s favorite hookup app is getting a paid version next month. The premium version, which was originally announced in November, will allow users to undo their most recent swipe, and even change their location to match folks around the world. I guess if you’re traveling overseas, the easiest thing to do is Tinder ahead of time so you have your schedule all worked out before you travel.
Tinder Plus has reportedly been testing in-app purchases for a while now, with prices ranging from 99 cents all the way up to $19.99. Yikes. Pricing in the U.S. is rumored to land around $6.99 per month, which is only slightly cheaper than a lot of popular subscription-based streaming services. If you’re a serious Tinder-er, I guess the cost is offset by the guys/girls you meet through the app. It’s not cheap finding love, you know.
The Undo and Passport features will apparently be the start of what Tinder Plus has to offer, though it’s unclear what other additions the app will get. Maybe it’ll teach humans how to interact with other humans, which is something you can’t really put a price on. If you’re absolutely desperate to undo your last swipe, Tinder’s upcoming feature should change your life forever. But you’ll have to pay, and even then it doesn’t guarantee you’ll get a match.
Tinder Plus is being targeted for a mid-March launch, TechCrunch said.
