Everyone can relax now as we know that Jason Momoa is not going to sport the classic Aquaman look.
Admit it, when you heard Aquaman was going to be part of the upcoming DC movies you feared we were going to end up with his classic look. Luckily that isn’t what we’re going to end up with.
Director Zack Snyder has revealed the first image of Jason Momoa in his Aquaman garb and he clearly went for some of the more recent takes on the character. He looks pretty awesome to be sure, but what is more intriguing the is the slogan on the image and the hashtag #unitetheseven. Seeing as Aquaman is the king of the oceans – and Snyder’s tweet said “There is only one true king” – this could mean the seven seas, or could it be a reference to the seven original members of the Justice League? (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg in the current continuity) We’ll just have to wait to find out.
Momoa will make his first appearance as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on March 25, 2016. He will then appear in Justice League Part One in 2017, and a solo film in 2018.
Come on… aren’t you a little sad we didn’t get the classic costume?
