Ever wished you could get more out of your Uber ride? How does some extra hotel points strike your fancy?
On Wednesday Uber announced that it has partnered with the Starwood hotel chain to award loyalty points for every dollar spent with the car company. You will be able to earn two to four points per dollar spent depending on your loyalty status with Starwood.
The deal is good wherever Uber has service, so even if you’re traveling outside of your home country, you will still be able to collect the points for your rides.
According to an AP report, the deal is exclusive at this time, so don’t expect to see any other hotel chains popping up any time soon. This is unfortunate if you stay with other hotel chains, but at least it is something for a ride you would be taking anyway. ”Our guests get to us in many different ways,” said Mark Vondrasek, Starwood’s senior vice president of loyalty and partnership marketing, “we’re trying to get members to concentrate their stays with us.”
