If you’re a child of the 1990s, prepare to get excited: Full House appears to be making a comeback on Netflix.
According to a report from TV Line, Netflix is close to sealing a deal for a 13-episode season of a series to be known as Fuller House. The new series would reportedly focus on Candace Cameron Bure as D.J. and Andrea Barber as her friend Kimmy. As for John Stamos, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier, all three are rumored for guest appearances on the new show, with Stamos seeming to be a lock as he is said to be serving as a producer on the series.
Original series creator Jeff Franklin is set to be an executive producer alongside Thomas L. Miller and Robert L. Boyett both of whom served similar roles on the 1987-1995 series.
The current reboot explosion is reaching epic proportions it seems with Twin Peaks heading to Showtime, X-Files coming back at Fox and even Coach popping up at NBC. This also wouldn’t be the first revival from ABC’s TGIF lineup as Girl Meets World – a sequel series to Boy Meets World – is currently airing on the Disney Channel. This would, however, be the first such reboot/revival to make its way to a streaming service.
No word on when this will be officially announced, but it sounds as if it won’t be too far off in the future until the theme song returns to haunt our dreams.
