Netflix: Here are the movies and TV shows being added (and taken down) in May

Our favorite time of the month is here. No, not pay day. The list of movies and TV shows coming to Netflix in May is out, and it’s a mixture of high profile films and straight-to-DVD sludge. And that’s fine with me. I’m very much looking forward to checking out Zombeavers; it’s the kind of “turn your brain off” entertainment that I cherish.

Compared to months in the past, May is going to be filled with a lot of quality TV, with a good mix of reality and drama. You have new collections of American Restoration, Duck Dynasty and The Universe, along with shows like Graceland, Longmire, Puss in Boots, Shameless and more. Out of the movies hitting the service, the obvious standouts are Inglourious Basterds and Fruitvale Station, the latter of which I have yet to see.

Netflix’s list is actually quite different from Amazon’s library. Just goes to show that it might not be a bad idea to subscribe to two different services. It’ll be relatively quiet on the Netflix front next month, though it might give you the perfect opportunity to catch up on Marvel’s Daredevil, which has just been renewed for a second season.
