No matter how hard they try, the Minions always wind up being the architects of their own demise. Because whenever they find an evil master to serve, they somehow find a way to screw it up. Did you know they once served Dracula? And a T-Rex? The more you know. Yet their clumsiness and general aloof behavior is dangerous, like an anvil that comes crashing from above. One day you’re waking up from a long sleep, and the next you’re being turned to dust.
The third trailer for Minions and been released, and it’s just as charming, funny and beautiful as the other two. Some hilarious new footage is included in the trailer, but the main focus here is on the Minions meeting Scarlet Overkill, who is being voiced by Sandra Bullock. We’re not sure what motivated Overkill to become a supervillain in the first place, but does it even matter? All I care about is the high jinks that will ensue once the Minions begin to serve her.
Kevin, Stuart and Bob: remember those names. Whoever decided to make a movie solely focused on these little yellow mumblers should get a gold medal. You win. There’s no way this isn’t going to be hilarious. Kids will eat it up, and adults (who are kids at heart) will love it as well.
Minions is scheduled to hit theaters on July 10, 2015.
